3–5 years of experience | Fyrm.ai
At Fyrm.ai, we don’t build isolated AI tools or experimental pilots. We develop Agentic Enterprise Systems: scalable AI environments where agents, data, processes and existing business software operate as one intelligent system.
We work with organizations that want to embed AI as a structural capability to make operations smarter, more efficient and more innovative.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Medior AI Engineer / Software Engineer to help build the technical backbone of our agentic AI platforms. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, LLMs, generative AI and cloud-native platform development.
About the role
As an AI Engineer – Agentic Platforms, you will design, build and optimize agentic AI systems and multi-agent workflows that create measurable business value.
You will work on scalable software, robust AI architectures, API integrations, agent communication protocols and production-grade solutions for clients across technology, healthcare, finance, logistics, public services and professional services.
This is not a role for someone who simply calls AI models through APIs. You understand how modern AI systems work, how they are deployed reliably in production, and how to build software that is scalable, testable and maintainable.
You will contribute to architecture, performance, security, governance and the technical roadmap of Fyrm.ai.
What you'll do
- Design, build and optimize Agentic AI systems, including multi-agent workflows, task orchestration, agent routing and quality assurance.
- Develop scalable software in Python and/or JavaScript. Experience with Rust is a strong plus for performance-critical components.
- Apply object-oriented and functional programming principles within AI, agent and platform architectures.
- Integrate and orchestrate LLMs and generative models with a focus on performance, scalability, reliability and cost efficiency.
- Design and implement APIs and agent communication protocols, including MCP and other relevant standards.
- Apply fine-tuning and adapter-based training techniques such as PEFT, LoRA and related approaches.
- Contribute to production-grade AI environments, including logging, monitoring, observability, evaluation infrastructure and lifecycle management.
- Debug complex technical challenges across model behavior, latency, integrations, cloud environments and deployments.
About you
You are a mid-level engineer with 3–5 years of experience in AI engineering, software engineering, machine learning engineering or a similar technical role.
You enjoy building, but also care deeply about architecture, reliability and creating real-world business value through AI.
You have experience with:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in AI, Computer Science or a related technical or analytical field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript.
- LLM integration, agent development, RAG, tool use and workflow orchestration.
- Agentic AI systems, multi-agent workflows and agent communication.
- MCP, API design, event-driven architectures and system integrations.
- Machine learning fundamentals and modern generative AI.
- Transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, MoE, decoding strategies and model serving.
- Diffusion models and other generative architectures.
- Fine-tuning, PEFT, LoRA and adapter-based training.
- PyTorch, JAX, Hugging Face or comparable ML frameworks.
- Cloud platforms, with a preference for Microsoft Azure.
- CI/CD, GitHub, observability, monitoring, logging and evaluation pipelines.
- Production ML, MLOps and scalable deployment of AI systems.
How you work
You enjoy going deep, while remaining pragmatic.
You like understanding why a model or agent behaves the way it does, but you also get energy from solving real engineering problems and shipping solutions that work.
What you'll find at Fyrm.ai
At Fyrm.ai, you’ll work on AI systems that go far beyond experimentation. You’ll help build solutions that transform processes, improve organizations and make AI a structural part of day-to-day operations.
Our culture combines academic rigor with technical excellence and practical implementation.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Work on modern Agentic AI platforms.
- Create direct impact on customer operations and business outcomes.
- Help shape architecture, standards and technical direction.
- Collaborate with AI engineers, software engineers, solution architects and business/IT architects.
- Continue developing at the intersection of AI research, software engineering and enterprise implementation.
Compensation
We offer a gross monthly salary between €3,500 and €6,500, depending on experience, expertise and capabilities.
